Recommended Priorities In Getting Started…

Aloha,

Have you finally made up your mind to really start a
home based online business?  If you are still in the stage
of choosing your selected online opportunities, consider the
following recommended priorities in getting started in
your home based online business, be it in traffic exchange
or autosurf or affiliate marketing, etc.

Priorities
by Diego Norte

Working from home would be a dream come true for many.
Finding a legitimate online business might be a challenge,
but if you find an online business that interests you, you
should reach out and grab the opportunity. Some people
would not even know where to begin with a business
opportunity, but taking into consideration a few recommended
business “priorities” before getting started may help you
along the way.

The first and most important priority to consider when
starting a business is to have a positive attitude. Having
a positive attitude will make things go smoother with your
business. There are more than likely going to be rough
times and you will make mistakes, but using your positive
attitude and learning from your mistakes will make the
rough times seem not so rough. A negative attitude might
make the rough time seem rougher than it already is.

The next priority to consider is to have expectations for
your business. You must “expect” that your business may
thrive and be successful, but you should also “expect” that
it may be unsuccessful and fail. Having expectations will
keep your positive attitude and head up whether your
business is successful or not. If your head is held up with
a positive attitude and your business fails, it will be
easier for you to try again.

Another priority is to set goals for your business. Setting
realistic goals will help you realize your expectations and
stay on track along the way with your business. Realistic
goals are goals that you can accomplish and are within
your reach. An example might be “I want to earn $1,200
my first month of business so I will place an online ad to
sell my product.” An unrealistic goal is “I want to earn
$1,000,000 my first month without having to lift a finger.”
Set goals to your comfort level, but be realistic. Setting
a realistic goal will be easier for you to accomplish.

The last priority for your business is to find and build
support. Find family and friends who will encourage you
through your business ventures, even during the low times.
Your support system should have a positive attitude and
should perform their job duty, which is to be supportive
of you and your decisions as a business entrepreneur. A
strong support system will help you stay strong and keep
your head up.

There are other priorities to take into consideration when
starting an online business, but start out by having
expectations and setting goals, along with building a
support system, if you do not already have support. If the
priorities listed are not taken into consideration, your
business will let you down. Know what is expected from
and for your business and set realistic goals. Keep your
head held high, and if you happen to trip and fall along
the way, pick yourself up and keep trying. You may take
several falls, but don’t give up. If you lift yourself up
and keep trying, your chances of success will be greater.

Yes, never give up.  Those who have succeeded have
encountered failures early in their business.  These
challenges and failures have made these gutsy people
stronger and ready for more challenges in the future.

Making Sales Copy Short & Simple Scholar

Aloha,

Let’s take a look today on how this successful author
shares his experiences in making his sales copy effective.
I think you will love it like I do.  I’m publishing his
articles on this blog regularly now.

Keep It Short Scholar
by Diego Norte

We’ve all heard the normal KISS principle (Keep It Simple
Scholar). When we talk about sales copy, it is important
to keep it simple. It is also important to keep it short.

Let’s briefly take a different view of sales copy. Perhaps
you take the view that sales copy is meant to talk people
into purchasing your product/service. For a moment,
let’s take a different view that it is actually there to
talk people OUT of purchasing your product/service.
In many ways, this latter view is more accurate.

Think about the prospect as she reads your ad copy.

They read a sentence and like what it says. They feel
good; they feel hope that this will be the answer to one
of their problems. They read another sentence. It affirms
the first and they feel more excited. They are ready to
buy, but there is more ad copy. They read on. The third
sentence doesn’t really apply to their specific problem.
Perhaps they start to lose a bit of that excitement. Then
the fourth sentence completely alienates them. They aren’t
part of THAT group of people (perhaps you were selling
a fitness product and the fourth sentence was related to
weight-loss). They turn the page or click the BACK button
or close the browser. You’ve lost them.

If your ad copy stopped after the first two lines, you
would have made the sale. Start reading your ad copy
in this way. Normally, each sentence is viewed as the
sentence that potentially “sells” them. In reality, usually
your prospect is reading each sentence looking for a
reason NOT to buy. Start editing your ad copy to eliminate
all of those potential reasons. In general, strive to make
your ad copy as short as possible.

Not a believer yet? Let me give you some real-life examples
that lead me to this conclusion. In the early days, I would
test click-thru rates using a variety of sales copy. I
would try a paragraph against another paragraph. This is
where I fist noticed that shorter is better. The shorter
paragraphs almost always outperformed the longer
paragraphs. This is true for both the click-thru rate and
the overall amount of revenue generated over a period
of time.

I finally tested this conclusion all the way to it’s
logical extreme… Yep, a single word outperforms two
words almost every time. I now use this concept to build
traffic for others. I draw in the largest potential group
of customers by using a single word. I then show them a
full paragraph describing my customer’s exact
product/service to narrow that group down to the perfectly
targeted visitors to send along to my customer. The others
are given other choices so that I can make some other use
of them.

Need more proof? Try it yourself. Create a link on your
site that says something like: “For the least expensive
high quality widgets, click here”. Obviously, change the
“widgets” to something you want to actually sell. Also
make sure you use some method to track click-thru rates
and sales. Expose that link to a test group of visitors and
record your results. Now repeat with the following
progressively shorter phrases:

Least Expensive/high quality widgets

Least Expensive Widgets

Cheap Widgets

Widgets

In almost all cases, you will find that your click-thru
rate will increase as the phrase becomes shorter. In most
cases, you’ll also notice that the total revenue will
increase as well. Your revenue per click will level off at
some point. This is the point of most efficiency.

Try the same exercise with your one-page sales letter.
Start off with 10 paragraphs and slowly start to eliminate
the least useful paragraphs. You should notice the same
effect. Eventually, your revenue per visitor will level off
and tell you that the remaining paragraphs all say
essential things to sell your product. Then you can start
trimming out sentences… finally, individual phrases and
words.

The goal is to tell your prospects enough about your
product/service that they are ready to buy and NOTHING
MORE. Anything more than these essentials is just going
to convince them that your product/service isn’t right for
them.

Of course, you must be sure to tell them the essentials so
that they make an informed decision. This isn’t a call to
be dishonest by leaving out essential information. It is
actually a call to be more honest by leaving out extraneous
information that would confuse and drive away potential
customers.

Amen to that.  What do you think?  You can leave your
comments and experiences below.

Are These 9 Tips Helping You?

I hope these business or home based business tips can really
help and make you productive in your daily work.  I’ve utilized
these helpful tips on my daily work and I highly recommend
you take a look and apply these tips as you wish.
Here’s the article:

9 Helpful Tips
by Diego Norte

I know I’ve thrown a lot of information out there and
it may take a little time to digest it all. While you’re
strategizing and working hard, I’ve decided to just give
you some general helpful hints for you small business.
These are just some tips I’ve compiled over time.

1. Track your time spent working - There are several
places online where you can find a time tracker to keep
track of your hours spent working on projects. Tracking
your time as you go will help you to evaluate just how
much your effort is accomplishing and also calculate
what you time is really worth in this venture.

2. Keep frequently used business forms handy - Keep all
of your forms in an easily accessible file or folder to
save yourself time. Organization will go a long to way
to ensuring that your time spent working is effective.

3. Back up your data remotely - Anyone who has ever
gone through losing data due to a hard drive crash
already knows how important it is to have a backup.
If you’ve had the good fortune to avoid this to this
point, be sure that you are backing up your data to a
remote location frequently. This can be to discs or
even to an online source. You can find several companies
providing online data backup.

4. Keep in touch withl your customers - Consider creating
a newsletter or mailing list that your customers can
sign up for. Contact will remind them that you are
out there.

5. Use Skype to lower your calling costs - Skype lets
you call most land-line and mobile phone numbers for
low by-the-minute charges. If you find yourself doing
a lot of long distance or international calling, consider
signing up.

6. Have business cards made - Even though your business
is online, you are still one of your greatest marketing
tools. Think of all the people you meet and speak to
throughout the day. Each of those people could have a
chance to hear that your business exists. There are
several companies online that offer low-cost options for
business card, such as Vista Print.

7. Send and receive faxes for free - If you find yourself
needing to send or receive faxes, but are not ready to
invest in a fax machine, you can visit eFax. This will
give you your own fax number and software for composing
faxes. Incoming faxes will come through email.

8. Make use of Instant Messaging - If you find yourself
spending a lot of time in front of the computer, consider
making an IM client available for your customers. This
will be a quick way for a potential customer to ask a
question and receive a fast answer.

9. List your company - Make sure your company is listed
in search directories such as Yahoo! or search engines
like Google. It will just be that much easier for potential
customers to find your business.

I hope that your business is going strong at this point
and that these tips have helped you. Now get out there
and get to work!

improvement in your daily productivity?  You can share your

Are There Legitimate Scams?

Are There Legitimate Scams?

Are there more get rich quick schemes online that you are
Aware of considering the daily offers and sales pages from
online marketers and gurus that are coming to your inbox
daily?

Are you into it now and you realize later that you have put
hundreds or thousands of dollars into it and you are still
procrastinating for the right time to stop doing it?

Well, read this post and it will guide you on your online
business research and in selecting these companies to work
with.

“Legitimate Scams”
By Diego Norte

Many online businesses have used the slogan “get rich quick”
but is this really true? Well the unfortunate answer is, it
can go both ways-there is always a possibility of getting
rich (which would be the legitimate answer) as well as the
possibility of not getting rich and that’s when it becomes
a scam.

Many online businesses do provide a source of income for
families world-wide. They might supply extra money for
the individuals that are associated with them though the
possibility of getting rich might be slim.

Be aware of online businesses that express these ideals.
They are either running a scam or are unaware of how they
present their business to every day people. Do excessive
research on the company that you are planning to work for.
Get the opinion of others that have worked for that
particular company and opinions that are not already
blogged on the company’s website. To ensure legitimacy
follow these guidelines.

1. Payment Information

Be sure to get excessive information on how you’re being
paid. Whether you are paid per job or by the number of
hours you work. Payment may differ with each company.
Find out if taxes are deducted directly from your pay or
if it’s your job to pay taxes from your earnings,
compensation, benefits, etc.

2. The things your job will entail

Find out what you will really be doing for the company and
if there are any requirements needed to do the job. Most
online businesses do not have requirements for their
employees but it’s good for you to know. For example,
if you are going to write articles for the company, having
a degree in journalism is a plus.

3. Communication

Ensure that you receive information regarding who to
contact in case you need answers to certain questions,
if the question is not already answered on the “frequently
asked questions” page on the company’s website.
Communication can be through telephone, via email, etc.

4. Read the Terms and Conditions

Read your contract carefully and thoroughly. Find out what
are the rules that govern the company. Make sure that you
understand and agree to terms and conditions and that they
suit your needs. If you don’t agree with the terms and
conditions then it’s probably not for you. Instead try
something new or find another job.

5. Research the company

Research as much as you can about the company. There
might not be much but check their ratings on customer
service, and overall performance on delivering satisfaction.

There are possibilities of getting rich with online
businesses but sometimes advertisers will say anything
to get their audience to believe what they want them to
believe, you just have to find out whether what they are
saying suits you or if the promises are even possible to
attain.

Remember that you might be able to make some money but
it might not make you rich. “Get rich” schemes generally
don’t work! The possibility of winning the lottery is
approximately 1 to 5,000,000 and that’s in the United
States alone (whose population density is approximately
305,186,613).

There are some I knew that have made money from some
get rich schemes.  Whether they are still rich and oozing
with cash, that I haven’t heard from these people again nor
seen from forums.

What is your real experience, comments on this?

Have a nice weekend,

Road To Success

Dear Reader,

This is a guest post from my favorite source of good
articles and copywriting software online, Diego Norte.

Starting your own internet business may be a bit
overwhelming to think about for some people, but most
would think that starting a SUCCESSFUL online business
is out of the question. Think of success as a road.
The ride might start out bumpy and there might be forks
or U-turns in the road, but keep moving forward because
if you turn around, your success may not be accomplished.
If you come to a fork in the road and don’t know which
road to take, go with your gut feeling. Usually, but not
always, this is right. If you happen to take the wrong
road, you are human and all humans make mistakes. No one
is perfect. But learn from this mistake, move on and try
again. Life is about trial and error, so is your
successful online business.

One trait you need to have a successful online business
is to think optimistically. Thinking pessimistically
about an online business will only lead to a failed online
business. If you look at it psychologically, your
business will work the way you want it to work.

Another trait you need for a successful online business
is patience. Odds are not in your favor of becoming a
millionaire overnight. As with any business, this will
take time and some effort on your part.

You will need to know what your resources are and how
to use them. Do not be afraid to ask questions. Knowing
what your resources are and how to use them will help
with a successful online business. Conducting research
online should help you with questions you may have about
starting a successful online business.

Be creative and put your ideas to work. Conduct research
to find a product people are interested in and would like
to purchase. Learn how to create an unforgettable website
that people will keep returning to. A great product and
unforgettable website should help you succeed.

Know what YOUR emotional and physical limits are. If you
don’t know your emotional and physical limits, how will
you succeed? To be successful, you should not wear
yourself out emotionally and physically TRYING to succeed.
If you wear yourself out TRYING, you will not have the
energy to continue traveling on the road to success.
Success does not usually happen overnight. You have to
work at it. You should know where to stop and BREATHE if
things are too overwhelming. If you don’t know what your
emotional and physical limitations are, you may want to
stop and think of what they are before you start traveling
on the road to success.

If you think of success as a road, to start your
successful online business you should think optimistically,
have patience, be creative and put your ideas to work,
know your resources and how to use them, and know your
limits. Don’t make a U-turn, but learn from your mistakes
and remember that no one is perfect. Success takes time
and effort and you probably will not become rich overnight.
Take time to BREATHE if things are too overwhelming, but
DON’T GIVE UP!

Finding A Twist In Converting Traffic

Dear Reader,

Most online marketers are confronted with this dilemma.
They spend so much time and money in generating traffic
to their blog or site but see a dismal record in converting
traffic to revenue.  Most likely there’s something amiss
in the process.  Finding a twist in converting traffic
could be the answer.

Most likely a different approach will help.  This could be
taking a deliberate approach to really find the solution
to improve buyers’ response.

If you read carefully those sales letters by top online
marketers, the “wants” are replaced by “fear”.  They are
so good in crafting their sales copy that they make it
appear that there will be scarcity of the product being
offered and delaying action in buying it will mean
missing this particular product.

Here are possible twists in converting those traffic to
good buyers.

Raise the price. Ask yourself this questions. If sales are
falling or traffic is less, why would charging more be
better? Have you under-priced your product, giving it a
lower value in the buyer’s mind? You can add a section
or package with a second information product.

Make a Limited Time Offer.  Creating urgency by offering
a one time offer to a limited number of buyers for a
short time can create good results. Fear of missing it
and making it scarce can force buyers to buy before others
will get it.

Change the cover design. Add new delivery options so
that a buyer can choose eBook, CD or MP3 audio product
formats. These small changes give you a reason to bump
up the price. You can offer a limited time discount like
putting it this way: order right away to get the product
for $39.95. In 48 hours, the price goes up to $79.95.

At the end of the offer, take it off the market. After some
time, make a few changes or updates and add something
else to the package. Without losing your credibility to
visitors and buyers, you can elect to bring back the
product in the coming months.

5 Time-Tested Ways In Driving More Traffic & Buyers

Dear Reader,

Anyone who has ventured into the internet marketing niche
can spend his time and money buying all kinds of ebooks,
home study programs, software in order to learn the tricks,
techniques and equip himself to compete well in the
internet marketing arena.  But there’s only one basic thing
in the online marketing world that can make make or break
the affiliate marketer’s quest for online success and that
is traffic.

Choosing affiliate marketing for your niche market means
working hard indeed since one has to stand out and compete
in the fiercely competitive side of online marketing world.
This is due to the enormous number of people who are into
affiliate marketing and the huge size of the web that one
can imagine getting into despite real challenges that can
stand on your way to your journey.

There are 5 time-tested ways that can help help anyone
who has the guts, determination and mental preparedness
to get ahead in the affiliate marketing business.

The first method is to writing articles and contents to
let everyone know about your blog or site.  As they say
content is king.  Online marketers, subscribers and
visitors look for good content and it is the most
determining factor that can attract more visitors and
readers who will keep coming back to learn more from
your blog or site.

The second method is to contact other blog or site owners
and request for link exchanges. These sites should be
related or similar to your site’s or blog’s content in
order to attract interests and generate the best effect
of linkages.

The third method is by building up a list of prospects.
You can start from your address book or buy leads or
advertise on lead generating sites. You can contact these
people from time to time utilizing autoresponders &
newsletters to keep in touch with your prospects or
readers.  Affiliate marketers who want to make it big
can and should accomplish this.

The fourth method is by starting your own affiliate
program. Affiliates can take care of all of the work in
promoting your site or blog and they can bring in a
surprising amount of traffic to your blog or site. This can
result to increased sales and your affiliates and you as
site or blog owner can both generate good traffic alike
from this program.

The fifth step, which most online marketers have found
some challenges, is learning and making the most of how
search engines can work for your blog or site in generating
targeted traffic for free.  Obtaining high search engine
ranking is important so you can attract more visitors and
convert these people to potential buyers.  Researching and
finding the right keywords is the way you can accomplish
this goal. If your site can make it to the top of the
rankings, you are making it easy for people to find your
site and this will mean much larger commissions for you!

Positive Factors of Online Affiliate Marketer

Dear Reader,

Most people who have ventured into online marketing
have started in affiliate marketing as this field has
become one of the easy ways to realize a profit utilizing
your own site.  As a site owner, you can be an affiliate
of another product owner by placing your affiliate link
on your site and in the process, realize an income from
people who visit your site and join by signing up from
this merchant’s link.

In affiliate marketing, the parties involve are the
affiliate, that is you and the merchant or product owner.
The positive factors of affiliate marketing from the side
of the merchant include exposure in markets for the
merchant of his product that he may unable to reach.
This will result in increased sales for the merchant and
the affiliate can earn commission from his sales hence,
increasing both their respective site’s traffic and
boosting their search engines ranking.

For the product owner, affiliate marketing is like having
his particular sales team working for him sans salary but
on commission basis only.  He can explode his revenue
in a short period of time given the proper planning and
resources to launch his product globally through online
marketing techniques and strategies.  Utilizing his online
marketing skills and experience, a product owner can
really have all the positive factors of affiliate marketing
once applied right.

On the side of the affiliate or site owner, the positive
factors of joining the affiliate marketing program are
real and can be realized in so short a period of time once
he drives those traffic and generate more visitors to his
site.  Take a good look at these positive factors an
affiliate marketer can create for a product owner and
the resultant benefits as a successful affiliate marketer
online.

The product owner takes care of most of the marketing
tools to promote and market his product online.  There’s
virtually less overhead on the affiliate as most affiliate
programs are free to join and hence, zero start up cost.
There are a lot of good affiliate marketing programs
online and finding a good one can really boost your
income generating process.

Compared to corporate world sales experience requirement,
affiliate marketing requires less sales experience or
nothing at all.  Sales experience isn’t a pre-requisite to
joining an affiliate program.  So you can start right away
as an affiliate and can earn income if you really want to.

Most of these affiliate programs provide you all the
support to get started like marketing tools to promote
their product through different ways online.  You never
have to worry about inventories, shipping or order
processing. It’s that simple to get started which you can
handle from your home on a part time basis.

The key in affiliate marketing is choosing the right
product for you to get started.  The risk involve in
affiliate marketing is lesser than starting a traditional
business.  There’s no contract to worry about.  You can
stop promoting the product if you feel you are not getting
around.  You can always find another good product to
promote.

Affiliate marketing is really the easy way to generate
income from your online marketing activities.  Like in
any marketing endeavor, it requires some efforts, time,
skills and resources on your part.  Given these minimal
requirements, affiliate marketing can be made easy to
realize profits online and it is still the best opportunity
presently available for a part-timer or dedicated
online marketer.
